TOPICS
The following are two recommended topics and how they relate to your conference theme. Should you select me as your keynote speaker, we can work together to merge the topic with your theme as much as possible. Naturally, I can provide more information, including learning objectives, as needed.
TOPIC #1: BRINGING THE FUN BACK TO YOUR TEAM
It’s time to bring the fun back to teams but what does that mean? Does it just mean doing fun activities together? What if it meant making the team experience so enjoyable so that every team member loved actually doing work together? In this session, Mark inspires leaders to think differently about re-engaging their teams with three critical steps. During this highly interactive and fun session, Mark will inspire you to both re-engage and bring the fun back to your own team as well as re-engage with the leaders in your university so that they bring the fun back to teams across the entire organization.
TOPIC #2: BRINGING THE FUN BACK TO THE ORGANIZATIONAL TEAM
Did you know that hippos are one of the most territorial, hostile animals on the planet? In order to bring the fun back to organizations, leaders must transform their organization from hippo-esque territorial thinking to a culture of teamwork that feeds collaboration and adaptability. Through five transformative actions, Mark Kenny shares the roadmap for leaders to bring their organizations together to embrace forward change. Based on Mark’s book, The Hippo Solution: Eliminate Territorial Thinking and Unleash your Teams.
ENGAGEMENT
Mark’s sessions are fun and highly interactive. Some of the many techniques that Mark uses for in-person interactivity include:
- Bringing audience members up on stage for contests
- Mini live case studies with audience members
- Audience quizzes
- Shot-outs
- Large group contests
- Audience members interacting with each other
MARK’S PROCESS
Mark typically brings a five-step process to every engagement:
- Pre-Engagement: interviews with several board and / or chapter members to understand current goals and audience challenges.
- Pre-Event Promotion: Mark typically provides a video that you can use to promote the event.
- Event: the actual keynote event!
- Post-Event Resources: a PDF or video to answer questions; Mark also often provides a video with the practical how-to’s of re-engaging teams so the audience can further apply the learnings from the keynote.
- Post-Event Contest: 30-day contest for audience members to take action!
